hey bunje at the end of chapter 16 the controller is telling them that they are going to be sent to an island. i want to know do all of them get sent to an island or is just helmholtz?
i got one more question i don't understand chapter 17. the whole conversation with john and mustahs about god and everything can u help me out by explaining it to me.
Ash, Mond is telling the 3 of them, John, Bernard and Helmholtz that they are to be exiled to the "islands." He gives them a choice in which one they want to go to--Helmholt chooses the Falkland Islands. John doesn't actually get exiled though--he instead goes to the lighthouse in the wilderness.
The religious aspect is basically John disagreeing with the idea of soma curing all of the World State's problems and unhappiness. With Soma, the people of the world state can never achieve a so-called state of grace that religion is supposed to bring, because they never encounter or deal with any emotional problems that lets them grow as people. The whole chapter is basically a debate about that.

thanks bunje now i have to take the test on monday plus the quiz but i was told that it was an open book test is that true.
